How It Works :
Once you have decided that you want to get a custom pet portrait done, please follow these steps:
Email me jake@constantinepetportraits.com
Tell me about your pet and what you have in mind in terms of size
Provide photos - Scroll down for more info
Photo Requirements :
Clarity is key-
Sharper the photo, the better the end result.
Lighting matters-
Please be sure that the photos you are submitting do not have filters on them already, these blur out most details and heavily change the image.
Up close & personal-
The best photo references are close up images of your pet where they take up the focal point and space.
Bigger the better-
Please send digital photos in medium to large size- the higher the resolution the more detail I can achieve.
It’s ok to send a few-
If you love a few different pictures and cannot make up your mind, feel free and send me several images and I can pick what would look the best in graphite or colored pencils.
Next Steps :
At this point, once I have received images and we have discussed your requests, a non-refundable deposit will be required of 25% of the total cost. I will email you 2 progress shots of your art during the process so you can see how it’s going. I can have your drawing complete within 3-6 weeks depending on size.
If you live in the Seattle area, we can arrange a drop off/pick up. I can ship domestically and internationally (for an additional fee). The remaining 75% of the commission will be required before I deliver or mail your art.
Once I finish your piece, I will send you picture of the completed portrait and upon your approval I will send out once all payments have been received.
Do you have any questions that I didn’t cover? Feel free and email me and we can talk about it.

About Me:
Growing up in Euless, Texas, I knew from a young age that I had a passion for art. My family quickly recognized this and encouraged me to pursue it. After taking art classes throughout school, I made the leap to attend the Art Academy of Cincinnati where I was able to focus on art full time. I graduated in 2008, earning my BFA with an emphasis in drawing.
I now live in Seattle, Washington with my wife, Lauren, and our French Bulldogs, Kiki and Augustus.
